HIROSHIMA NAGASAKI DAY - 2017
WAR NEVER AGAIN!
NEVER AGAIN WAR!
Hiroshima day is not a day of celebration ; it is a day of remembrance. The Hiroshima Nagasaki day was observed in our college , Sree Narayana Guru Kripa on August 6,2017. The event was organized in order to sensitize the students about the atomic bomb blast that took place in the Japanese city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
We started off with some thought provoking anti-nuclear posters and also with some newspaper cuttings. These posters and paper cuttings help the students to know more about the atomic bombing that took place in Hiroshima, during the second world war and the repercussions it had on the people. Few students from my class made paper cranes depicting the Japanese symbol of peace and harmony. The day reminds all of us our duty to work together in order to spread the message of mutual respect, peace and harmony. Towards the end of the programme. Mrs.Jaithra, the tutor asks the students to prepare a poster or slogan for the day. All the students made an attempt for the same. Over all, a knowledgeable day for all the students who also remembered and prayed for all the lives that were lost in Japan.
